Pool not showing up when transferring to new hardware

I copied a storage pool to a new drive to export the new drive onto completely different hardware. However when i tried to import the new drive it did not show up, in the shell when i run zpool import i also dont get any listings of the drive i try to import. Is there any possibility to transfer the drive to different hardware?

You say "copied a storage pool", but you don't say HOW. That is critical. Some MS-Windows tools won't do the right thing.

While under certain conditions it is possible to raw copy a storage pool to new disk(s), it's hit or miss whether or not it will work. The correct way is to use ZFS tools. Either split mirror, (aka "zpool split"), or using "zfs send" & "zfs receive".
