Plex: Remote control of clients via app not possible

Hello,

I have some trouble with the FreeNAS Plex Plugin. I am using the official Plex ios app to remote control my Plex client (rasplex).

Since using Plex on FreeNAS I am encountering the issue, that the plex client disappears from the PMS client list after a few minutes (http://plexip:32400/clients). When the client disappears from that list it is no longer possible to control it with the app.

The following error appears in the logs of the PMS:

Sep 16, 2013 20:07:36 [0x807846c00] DEBUG - NetworkServiceBrowser: PLAYER arrived: 192.168.1.44
Sep 16, 2013 20:10:39 [0x807846c00] DEBUG - NetworkServiceBrowser: PLAYER departed after not being seen for 183.140265 seconds: 192.168.1.44

I am not sure whether this is a problem related to the FreeBSD port in general or with the jail setup. Seems to be some sort of network related... I did not encounter this issue with my Ubuntu NAS setup before.

Anyone else had this issue or knows where to look at?

No idea on this one and I'm unsure how much plex has been tested within jails. Wouldn't hurt to open an issue at https://bugs.freenas.org/projects/freenas to try to track down the reason and to post the issue number here. Is there any type of error log on the client end? If so, include that as well in the bug report.
