I followed the video on youtube by FreeNAS for my 9.10 install and unfortunately everything works fine until the point of where I login to the Plex GUI and attempt to navigate to my media folder. The folder is found in the Plex "Browse for Media" area but the media directory is completely blank.
If I go into FreeNAS' GUI, select the plex jail and click the shell icon I can CD into the media folder and perform a "ls" command and the media is there. For some reason Plex doesn't see this - I'm thinking its a permissions or owner problem but I would have expected the plugin to have handled that based on the video and what I've read.
Add'l details:
dataset:
/volume1/plex_media - owned by user plex and group plex
CIFS share created that points to the path above, allow guest access is checked
In the Jails area - I added storage pointing to the dataset as the source and the destination is pointing to /media
Any suggestions?
