Can you try restarting the plex jail. A few versions ago I updating some of the plugin code which would require the plugin middleware layer (the one who responds to that status URL) to be restarted.

Hi Joshua, yes i've restarted jail and the entire server.
sorry, didn't read thoroughly enough.
can you try running this in the plex jail.
Code:
service plexmediaserver onestart

if you can still reach plex then you should decide if starting it from the plugins tab is important to you. if so, I can list the steps to restore your current plex metadata to a new jail.

please Joshua - kids are crawling my neck cause they can't watch 'Frozen'.......

i believe restoring plex metadata to a new jail will be the easiest and fastest?

side note - using plex streamed from Roku.

Ohh no, ok time to work fast then, lol.

* Install a new instance of plex
* Copy over the data-directory, editing the below according to your jail paths
Code:
cp -R /mnt/tank/jails/plexmediaserver_1/var/db/plexdata /mnt/tank/jails/plexmediaserver_2/var/db/plexdata
chown -R 972:972 /mnt/tank/jails/plexmediaserver_2/var/db/plexdata

* Delete the first plex plugin from the Plugins > Installed tab
* (optional) Change the IP of the remaining plex plugin on the Jails tab
* start the remaining instance of plex
