Hello All,

I'm new to the Freenas forums, but have been using freenas for about a year or so now.

I followed the guide here to setup a Plex Media Server and while it works very well, I cannot get it to upgrade.

Near the bottom of the guide it says to check a site for an update which shows 1.5.5.3634. Then I run pkg update && pkg upgrade multimedia/plexmediaserver after stopping the service.

However when I run this I get the following:
Code:
root@plex:/ # pkg update && pkg upgrade multimedia/plexmediaserver
Updating FreeBSD repository catalogue...
FreeBSD repository is up-to-date.
All repositories are up-to-date.
Updating FreeBSD repository catalogue...
FreeBSD repository is up-to-date.
All repositories are up-to-date.
Checking integrity... done (0 conflicting)
Your packages are up to date.

My Plex server WebUI shows Version 1.3.3.3148.

I'm currently on FreeNAS-9.10.2-U3 (e1497f269). I'm not sure what other information may be helpful to assist with this.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
Serp

What version of freenas? You probably have a freebsd 9.3 jail. This version is eol'ed and no longer gets updates.

I'm currently running "FreeNAS-9.10.2-U3 (e1497f269)" I believe I did install Plex while I was running 9.3. Is there a way to upgrade the jail or do i have to remove it and reinstall?

You'll have to create a new jail and reinstall Plex in the new jail.
