I have plex setup and working, but every day I need to restart the NAS or the files all go unavail. The NAS itself is working when this issue occurs, and I can access and play the files through the NAS folders directly. Any thoughts or suggestions?

Thanks!

You should probably see if the Plex forum has any ideas as we don't handle Plex problems here.

Have you tried restarting the PMS instead? Thats what usually helps me...
And thats not a FreeNas issue so dont blame the messenger;)

Yes...everytime I try to turn the jail on...it gives me a "some error" ......matter of fact....if I log into freenas....it shuts plex down....

Well if the jail is not working thats a different issue than the OP (files unavailable).
What happens if you just leave it running? Just for testing if you usually turn it off?

And how does some error look like ie what does it say?

Lol, ok, didnt expect that;)
So what does >cat /var/log/messages< say?

run
ls -l /var/log/messages
if that does not say /var/log/messages (and some more info) then that file's not there but i doubt that;)

So the file is there - then run
tail -50 /var/log/messages

makes more sense than a full cat; please add in code tags ({}# icon)

I meant the result from the command but probably you cant copy it from the built in shell - so check it for abnormalities.
get putty (if on windows, else another ssh client), run a ssh connection to your freenas server, login as root, run the tail command again then you can copy the result (its automatically copied on marking it).
