Ok,
After using a stupid method of just guest access for my NAS server, I've decided to actually setup permissions properly, so I use this guide, and set up everything to my usage, restarted NAS server, \\FREENAS, showed all of my shares, but whenever I try and connect to one of the shares on Win8, I get the normal Enter network credentials box. I enter the user/pass for that share, and get the message "\\freenas\ us bit accessible, you might not have permission to use this network resource"
Does anyone know what might be causing this, my workgroup under services for CIFS is correct. The only thing I noticed, that when logging on below the user/pass box it says "Domain: XXX-PC" XXX being my computers name. Would I be correct in thinking it's trying to connect to a domain? I had a Google around but cound't find anything...
Thanks!
