Permission denied for plex directory

I tried to access my plex directory using /var/db/plexdata, but I get "Permission denied". I checked through everything and everything as far as I could see via the freenas GUI said Owner/Other could write and I have no idea why I can't get through. Any ideas?

I'm trying to add a new scanner and this is at least the way it told me to install it. And what do you mean root is the way to go?

You are trying to install a photo scanner to your FreeNAS server? Do you not have another computer you can install it on?

I'm trying to install hama bundle and absolute series scanner. I have the folders for those plugins, but I need to go to the directory and createfolders/place them in specific spots

I don't know what account you are trying to use, but the root account should have permission to do anything, anywhere.
