PERC4/DC Controller - Trying to use it as HBA instead of RAID

I have some servers that have PERC4/di cards built in, and they work fine with FreeNAS, allowing the FreeNAS software to see the physical drives. I recently acquired a PERC4/DC card, which I believe is the same controller but on a card instead of integrated. However I can't seem to get it configured so FreeNAS can see the drives that are attached to it.

I realize I can replace it with a straight up HBA but I'm out of them at the moment, and I have a few of these PERC4/DC cards and would like to use them if possible.

Any suggestions? Has anyone done this?

If anyone knows otherwise I'm open to suggestions, but I think right now my time is better spent looking for a replacement HBA.

If you want to get the os to see them, then maybe you can do a side by side comparison with "pciconf -l" and look at the PCI ids and get back to us.
