already got one Intel® SSD DC P3600 Series 800GB, but it out of space (i plan to replace it )

What do you plan to do with it? Most drives will work with FreeNAS, but whether you should use a drive or not depends on the application.

First off, that's a hell of a good deal.

Assuming you have a free PCIe slot, there's no reason it shouldn't if your system is already talking to your P3600 just fine - just make sure your slot is x8 so you can get the full speed benefit, and provide sufficient cooling (think "500 linear feet per minute")

That's a fine choice for a capacity drive.

If it's a shared scratch, then there's also no worries about "what will you do with the data on the Intel DC P3600?" - take a downtime, destroy the pool with the NVMe device, power down, swap the cards, and make a new pool. Sounds good.

Just be aware that when you first set up the pool it may take a long time depending on how the Samsung card responds to the initial TRIM request - FreeNAS by default will TRIM/UNMAP the entirety of an SSD when it's first provisioned, so don't be startled if your initial "create pool" operation seems like it's hung for a few minutes.
