Hello,
I'm trying to make passwordless mode working on my Freenas 9.2.7, but without luck. At the moment I have generated the keys, transferred to the Freenas user's .ssh folder. When I'm trying to logon on Freenas I'm getting the error:
Aug 25 19:09:55 stor-1 sshd[76800]: Authentication refused: bad ownership or modes for file /mnt/Installs/srvs_homes/srvacc_monit/.ssh/authorized_keys
When I'm trying to set up permissions by executing
cd ~/.ssh/
chmod 600 authorized_keys
I'm getting the error:
chmod: /mnt/Installs/srvs_homes/srvacc_monit/.ssh/authorized_keys: Operation not permitted
I have tried to setup the permissions for various ways but it does not work and all the time the result is the error above. Could you help me please to understand where's the problem?
Thanks in advance.
