We need to understand which case you're using and how you're connecting that disk (to which motherboard) in order to even understand what lights there should be.

Thank you for your reply!

I have a total of eight hard drives. Four of the hard drives are connected to the hard drive backplane using a PCIe to SATA adapter board. There are also four hard drives connected to the SATA slots of the motherboard through the backplane.

I have tried connecting different backplanes, but the indicator light of this hard drive is always on since boot.

I still don't see where you mention the case... just the fact that there's a backplane involved doesn't shed a lot of light on it.

My motherboard is TUF B450M-PRO GAMING. The chassis is like this:

Forgive me for not knowing the specific model.

PCIe to SATA board: SA3034A

Looks like a U-NAS 810 family.

Let's start with the simplest potential fault - is a trace to the LED itself potentially shorted out?
When I replace the hard drive with another, this problem does not occur. So I don't think it's a wiring error/short.

Warning - those types of SATA expansion card come mostly highly not recomended. There are some that are OK, and I don't remember which ones

Can't help with the LED light though - sorry
