I'm planning to purchase a motherboard that has onboard Sata 6g from intel soc, but it also has lsi3009 sas12g hba for 8 more drives
I'm planning on purchasing WD red Sata 5400rpm Sata drives.
In general is it better to use Sata drives on sata built in or to use the sas hba instead?
I'm thinking to populate the 6 sata ports now then potentially add a new pool of 8 drives or maybe ssds on the sas12 in the future
If it's better to use the sas hba, I might just buy some seagate sas12 7200rpm drives instead
