I have a syncthing jail that will need upgraded to iocage?

What is the best path/way to get to 11.3 w/ the new iocage jail....

Do I have to manually migrate the jail to iocage, or are there migration scripts in place. Pending that answer:

11.1 to 11.3...

or

11.1 to 11.2 to 11.3?

I was reading the release notes for 11.3 and did not find these answers...is there guidance out there?

I upgraded to 11.2 stable, and no jails migrated. How do I migrate the jails.

I just updated from 11.2U7 with a Nextcloud jail to 11.3-RELEASE via the GUI update without any issue whatsoever. Update the jail, plugin and zpool afterwards and all went smooth.

How are you guys upgrading the plugins. I am done here, but using migrate_warden.py???

People are on the forums saying it is automatic....nothing automatic happened to me.

If you don't have a lot of complicated jails, the best thing compatibility-wise is to recreate them from scratch and migrate any data manually. There are step-by-step instructions and scripts out there to do a straight upgrade, but no promises about configuration issues if you use that method. If you do go that route, I'd urge you to stay on 11.2 for a few weeks with the new jails started and the old ones stopped to make sure everything's gravy before you change tracks again. It's not a bad idea to do that in any case unless you have a pressing need to get to 11.3; better to resolve any issues that crop up with 11.2, where you can go back and forth between Warden and iocage if needed.

I just upgraded the plugins through the GUI after the completion of the 11.3-release update. That worked fine for both Plex and Nextcloud.

I successfully completed 2 upgrades to 11.3 using the exact same approach:

1. Update to 11.3 through the GUI
2. Update the plugins via the GUI
3. Upgrade the pools via the GUI

I am not sure why you would want to make things complicated, such as installing the plugins from scratch, when that is not necessary.
