Old NAS

OK, I know they are old but, Can anyone say if FreeNAS 11.1 will Rsync with 11.2U8? I'm trying to get a data sync running across an IPSEC tunnel in PFSense. I have tried everything I can think of.
Location 1 has 11.2U8 and I would like to push data to Location 2 with FreeNAS 11.1
Please help.

This is definitely the wrong forum to ask that question since it is not about "Community Contributions", but anyway ...

I don't see any reason why this would not work. You did set up SSH keys for the root user on both systems, you can login from the source to the destination system via SSH as root and you are running rsync over SSH?
