Hi

I have weird problem, when I restart freenas, cant see CIFS share until switch off/on CIFS service (GUI) or restart samba (smbd, nmbd) - LAN network.
I can ping freenas machine by IP address but not by netbios name. I try to get to my share from Windows 7/Ubuntu and nothing.

I would be glad for any suggestion to solve this problem.

P.S.
I didnt know where to put this thread - it's supposed to be in SHARE category I guess.

how did I solve this problem.

- Use IP address instead of netbios name (I can ping by IP address but not by netbios name of freenas machine)

- Map network shares

In my opinion there is something wrong with a config responsible for netbios. I'll try to find what's going on and write later.

what I've forgot is to turn on in CIFS service local master. Everything works fine and after reboot both client and server, freenas is always visible and I can login into my shares.
