I moved this weekend. I updated my freenas where network settings needed to be updated. I shutdown my services being used, updated, then restarted the freenas. I can't start my NFS service now.

Is there a command I can use via SSH to manually start the service?

Is there anything in /var/log/messages when you try to start the NFS service?

What should the specific file path be? I tried via terminal: cd /var/log/messages, and it said it didn't exist.

That is the full path to the log file (you can only cd into directories). Try more /var/log/messages and use your spacebar to scroll through the file.

Oh, ok. screenshot of the log. Not sure where the "can't assign requested address" is coming from as my FreeNAS static IP has been setup on my new network and is no longer using 192.168.1.161.

I did not have the IP address of the freenas binded for the NFS Service. That's what it was. I was able to turn on NFS and connect after updating that. Thanks for the help.
