I am new to FREENAS.

I have installed FREENAS 8.03p1 on a USB drive in a HP MicroServer.

4 * HDDs + 8GB RAM

All drives are in the same ZFS pool.

I have followed the instruction to setup the iSCSI, however I could not start the service at the end. I have also rebooted the server, no luck. Has anyone experienced this?

NFS and CIFS services are enabled with no problem.

Thanks for the reply.

The errors I got are:

freenas istgt[2441]: istgt_lu.c:1329:istgt_lu_add_unit: ***ERROR*** LU2: InitiatorGroup3 not found
freenas istgt[2441]: istgt_lu.c:1954:istgt_lu_init: ***ERROR*** lu_add_unit() failed
freenas istgt[2441]: istgt_lu.c:1667:main: ***ERROR*** istgt_lu_init() failed

The funny thing is I only have on initiator group setup...

Another reply, I did a google search on the error and found out the cause. I have removed the initiator group ALL ALL option, service will not start without this line. It seems weird, but at least the service is started successfully.
