I had heard from a coworker about zfs_prefetch_disable under the /boot/loader.conf file however when look at the file it does not have that as an option. I have VMs running on this NFS share however they are extremly slow so I am trying some performance boosting things was not sure how to add that zfs_prefetch_disable to the loader.conf file. Below is my system setup. My coworker was not near his system to give me a look at this loader.conf file.

FreeNAS Build FreeNAS-8.0.3-RELEASE-x64 (9395)
Platform Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU E4500 @ 2.20GHz
Memory 8177MB
System Time Thu Mar 1 10:49:41 2012
Uptime 10:49AM up 19 days, 22:37, 0 users
Load Average 0.29, 0.07, 0.02
OS Version FreeBSD 8.2-RELEASE-p5

with 4 1 TB drives in RAIDZ2 configuration. Also under performance nothing is being taxed on the system Memory Utilization is staying at 6GB on average.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
