Hello there,
Just started setting up my very first NAS, managed to install it just fine. Importing my existing NTFS volumes was straightforward, but i'm having problems with a new set of drives i bought: have four 3tb drives, in a raid5 array (hw raid: highpoint rr2310). The array has been created ok, FreeNas sees the 9tb 'disk', and is able to create a UFS volume on it. However, the new volume is listed as having 8% space used immediately (7,4tb free, 8,1tb total).
I have a strong feeling that i'm overlooking something obvious here, i'm pretty new to freebsd, and sleep deprivation (side effect of new hardware ;) ) might have clouded my vision and common sense some more.
Hope someone can give me some pointers as to where my precious 700gb's went.
Miel
