Hi,
as a longterm FreeNAS user, want to move some of my data to a new host and like to have some input.
current setup:
FN 9.10-STABLE, HW: C2550D4l, 16GB ECC, 2x RaidZ2 4x2TB, 2x mirror 2x500GB
I would like to migrate the data from one of my RaidZ2 pools to new Hardware with RAID-Z3.

This hardware ready should be nearly ready for primetime:

* SC826TQ-R500-LPB -> https://www.supermicro.com/products/chassis/2U/826/SC826TQ-R500LPB
* X11SSL-CF -> https://www.supermicro.com/products/motherboard/Xeon/C236_C232/X11SSL-CF.cfm
* 2x 16GB DDR4 ECC -> http://www.crucial.com/usa/en/x11ssl-cf/CT7982567
* 2x SATA DOM 16GB -> https://www.supermicro.nl/products/nfo/SATADOM.cfm
* 8x 4T 3,5" HDD
** Intel Pentium G4620 -> https://ark.intel.com/products/97460/Intel-Pentium-Processor-G4620-3M-Cache-3_70-GHz
or
** Intel Xeon E3-1220 v6 -> https://ark.intel.com/products/97470/Intel-Xeon-Processor-E3-1220-v6-8M-Cache-3_00-GHz

Only question for me is now which CPU should I use?
Planned use is fileserving with SMB and afp, iTunes Server, and DLNA with FreeNAS 11.
Any input appreciated.

That Pentium will work just fine for what you listed.
