Hi,
I have been playing with the idea of a FreeNAS for a few months. In August, I took the plunge and set up 8.2.0 Beta 3 - and realised no uPnP support, no DLNA.
My intentions - set up media server with e-sata disk array using external enclosure.
I am not a tecchie - but love the idea of learning about FreeNAS. I work in an Open Source software development firm as business development.
I have set up a HP DC7600 USDT as my freenas, running FreeNAS itself of USB. I currently have 2 disks - 1 x internal sata, 1 x external USB - these are for playing with before I sort out what storage architecture I actually want.
Intel (R) Pentium 4 CPU 3.0 GHz, currently registering 3307 MB RAM.
I look forward to picking at peoples brains and thoughts over the coming months on mastering FreeNAS.
Best,
Chumbers.
