New Build - Xeon or Opteron?

So I was thinking about getting one of the new Haswell Xeons as an upgrade to my current FreeNAS install (Q9650 with 8GB on FreeNAS 8.3) when FreeNAS 9 is stable.

Then I thought I should think about an Opteron - My current chip has a TDP of 95W so I was looking for something less, am I being blinkered in my assumption of Intel?

OK, well I got an Ivy Bridge Xeon instead, since the Haswell actually had a higher TDP (80W vs 69W).

Perhaps that means that the Haswell 12xx Xeons have the graphics core in them, but turned off, whereas the Ivy Bridge Xeons don't have them at all?
