Except the FreeNAS Mini, (and I assume the -XL version too), have only SATA
ports builtin. So, you'd have to use the only existing PCIe slot for a SAS card.
But, you would be limited to 100 or 200MegaBytes per second data loads using
the 1, (or 2), built in 1Gbps Ethernet ports. No 10Gbps or 40Gbps Ethernet for
you :-(.

PS: I do believe the FreeNAS Mini disk bays are SAS drive compatible. And they
do appear to be dual channel capable.
