I know this is not a freenas issue, but I'm hoping I'd get help anyway.

I have a media PC in the living room. it has "it's own username" XBMC, with no password. It maps up a samba share as a network drive at startup. However. the username is the same, XBMC, but the password is not empty in this case. I tried to use "connect with other authentications" (or what else it could be in english (got swedish windows). the mapping works fine, I'll get the right rights and all that, but not on reconnect/startup. IT does not reconnect as that user. I presume this is because windows user XBMC is passwordless, but one would thought that the mapping would use the authentication data you put in the mapping even after a restart.

Am I doing something wrong, or is this not possible? I would rather have windows user passwordless, or even better. to log in automatically as XBMC instead of having to choose user at the start.
