need some upgrade upgrade suggestions?

Hi! I been using FreeNas as File and plex server for couple years, now I want to use more features on it like webserver, Next Cloud and calibre web. I am current on i7-2600k CPU and 16GB non-ECC ram. what should I upgrade, if upgrade CPU any suggestions?

what motherboard? .. I'm guessing some desktop "gamer" type motherboard? .. maybe it supports Xeon CPU's and ECC memory? ..if that option is on the table, then that is what I'd pursue as far as "upgrades" ..

If not ..then just get more memory or get some server grade hardware.

I ran a Chinese knock-off x79T with a Xeon 12core/24thread cpu and 64GB of DDR3 ECC RDIMM's before my current setup (in sig) ..it ran great and was pretty inexpensive at the time... if on a budget, that might be an option for you. If not really budget minded, then get a newer server orientated setup.
