hi everyone!
we use a freenas box for some cifs shars.
added the AD/Ldap bindings. seemed to work so far.
suddenly freenas stops to display any usernames in the "change permission" screen.
hitting the change button brings back the default freenas local users
wbinfo -u has following output:
root@freenas] ~# wbinfo -u
MONSTER\root
administrator
gast
iusr_red
testuser
and so on.
wbinfo -g does the same
I jsut wanted to add a cifs sahre and set some test permissions for a testuers profile.
if I check wbinfo outputs on freenas tuturials...
the always show local users the usual way, domain users like expected domain\username
did freenas 9.1 change something here (no I have not updates, the setup was done on this freenas box - just not sure where to start looking for a solution right now)
net ads join -S servername -U testuser ->
Enter testuser 's password:
Using short domain name -- domain
Joined 'hostname' to dns domain 'domain'
maybe someone can bring some light here - is the wbinfo output ok?
is there some central information about cifs, zfs pools, windows acl around?
