Domain users not available in gui after upgrade

I have 2 freenas boxes that were upgraded to the 11.2 stable path
I lost access to my existing shares, when you try and browse to them you get a username / password box.
On the top level I can log in as the root user but not as a domain user. Same for all the shares.

I have verified through the shell that active directory is working
wbinfo -u wbinfo -g and -t is successful as well.

When I go into my storage pool to assign the owner permissions there are no domain accounts in there just local.

I have verified that active directory is checkedactive.
I have tried to rebuild the cache

I have tried changing the IDMAP settings to sfu and back.

Not sure what the next troubleshooting step is.
Any help is appreciated.
