Are you getting a timeout error or a "cannot be found" error?

Unable to connect

Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at 192.168.1.17.

The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few moments.
If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network connection.
If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.

That means the address isn't right.

What hardware are you using? Are you sure you have the correct interface connected?

Provide system specs... model number is useless as there's dozens of ways to load that machine. ;)

Your drive configuration seems suboptimal for a NAS, to say the least. Depending on your exact pool setup, you'll be using 8 disks to get no more than 1 TB of storage. The 10k disks would do well for your throughput, but you'll be limited by GbE anyway. It seems you'd spend less money, power, and space in your chassis to buy a pair of 1 TB disks and mirror them. What factors led you to settling on this hardware configuration?

And i can put 1tb drives in this case for a total of 8tb. I really dont feel like dropping 2k on hdd for my server that i am building right now.
