This has definitely been asked and answered, but i'm still getting a bit confused by the amount of information on this subject and which one applys to my situation.
Just setup FreeNAS 8.2.0 and created a CIFS share. I can connect from my windows machine just fine.
But now I want to create more shares, with different permissions for different users. ex:
share1 (userA) read only - (userB) read write
share2 (userB) read write ex (userA) no access (userC) read write
This is just an example, but I want to understand how to effectively set permissions for users and groups. And where do datasets come in to play?
would they help in this case?
