Long time lurker, first time poster.

I need help in identifying a port in my 4u server case. I bought it quite a long time ago and it didn't come with any cables.

It looks to me like it is an SFF-8470 port but the lack of screw downs, and all of them being internal, makes me think I'm incorrect. I'm planning to use the case when I upgrade my server so I can house 24 HDDs so any help is appreciated!

If I were to guess I'd say you're correct, this is a SFF-8470 port. I assume you've tried looking up the specs of the board/backplane in question? Speaking of which, what is the specific model number you found this on?

I've tried googling what I could perceive as the make or model on the back to no avail. Your google-fu may be better than mine. I haven't taken it out of the case though...I was trying to avoid that since it has a lot of zip ties which is why there are cables in the pictures.

What case is it? You'd be surprised what random facts folks on this forum know. The more model numbers etc you post the better. :)

Unfortunately there is no model number anywhere on the case It was bought six or seven years ago off eBay and wasn't advertised with one. I'm going to have to do some experimenting to see if it can handle the size of HDDs i'll be putting in. I've tried googling the individual parts to see if that would hit anything with no luck.
