Help with FreeNAS build

Hi first time poster first time builder
my friend wants me to help him with building a freeNAS system his requirements are this;

"Im looking for a quote for a new home storage server that will be running FreeNAS. I need it to be running Raid Z 2 and have the most storage possible inside a fractal design define r4. Other than that everything needs to be server grade and I will also need a HBA to connect these drives up. "

Can someone help me with understanding if this will work or do I need to change or add something?

Have you looked at the hardware recommendations thread (you know, the one that says "read this first" in this forum)? https://forums.freenas.org/index.php?threads/hardware-recommendations-read-this-first.23069/

What you posted should work AFAIK, but a Xeon E5 seems like overkill. A X10SL7-F and E3 should do fine, and would also include the HBA. What's your friend's proposed use case for the system?

He wants to do massive backup of his overloaded PC, he also has some things he wants to try that he does not want to get into great detail about.

I feel as if I am missing something from this build though...
