Hello, I was given an e3-1275 and intel S1275btl to build a server.
The other components:
- 8GB-16GB ram
- 4x2TB HDDs
- 380W PS
- Nvidia 9800gt ee
My main purpose is to store data, movie, music and UPnP server so either one is ok.
There are two reasons that I couldnot make up my mind :
- The i3-2100 is rated only 65w vs 95w for the e3-1275
- I have a HTPC so I can watch movies from freeNas but I read that windows can stream movies and family videos to my tablets. Sorry that this is not MS forum but does anyone know if I can configure the windows to decode and stream mpeg video ? In that case, I need 9800gt and e3-1275
