Hello all,

I've been running FreeNAS-8.2.0-RELEASE-p1-x86 (r11950),Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 3.20GHz,RAM 3050MB... I have ARECA ARC-1130 hardware RAID controller,with 6 * 2TB HDD in RAID6...
In FREENAS GUI in "View Disks" I see one disk with 7.2TB... I set UFS volume and Windows (CIFS) shares.
And everything worked well for 4 years...

Last week my UPS had a failure, and I lost my FREENAS...

Now I installed the same FREENAS version 8.2.0 on USB,booted from there ,and started GUI...
Now in "View Disks" I can see Disk "da0" 7.2 TB... But I can't import volume..I get error:"The selected disks were not verified for this import rules" ...
This is what I get :

[root@freenas ~]# gpart show

[root@freenas ~]#

Any advice is welcome...How can I recover my data?

Thank you in advance for any helpful suggestions.

I still have the same problem ...

Since I can see the RAID in FreeNAS as "da0p2 (7.2TB)", does it mean that it is already mounted?

Or I should mount it thru shell?
thanks

Try generating a debug file and uploading / attaching it to this thread.

Look here in the user's guide for your version of freenas to find the procedure for generating the aforementioned debug.
http://doc.freenas.org

Also upload full results of typing 'testparm' in the CLI and generating full output for smb.conf. (ie press 'enter')

OK, let's continue ...
These are the debug files.
What do I do next?
thank you

It looks like your CIFS shares have disappeared from your CIFS config. Assuming this is the only problem, you shouldn't have lost any data. Try to recreate them and point them at the correct directory on your raid volume per instructions in here: http://doc.freenas.org/8.0.3/freenas8.0.3_guide.pdf

Here's what is recommended in the manual:
7 Sharing Configuration
Once you have a volume, create at least one share so that the storage is accessible by the other computers in your network.

Once again,my problem is that I can't import/get volume back... I must have volume first, and then created CIFS share....

But I can't import volume..I get error:"The selected disks were not verified for this import rules" ...
How are you trying to import this?
Since you are using a Hardware Raid and have it only presenting one drive to FreeNas (which is UFS), I do not believe that you can use the "Auto-Import" in version 8.2. Per the Manual:
When creating a volume, you have several choices depending upon your storage requirements and whether or not data already exists on the disk(s). You can choose from one of the following options:
1. Auto-import an existing UFS gstripe (RAID0), gmirror (RAID1), or graid3 (RAID3) in Storage -> Volumes -> Auto-import.
2. Auto-import an existing ZFS stripe, mirror, RAIDZ1 or RAIDZ2 in Storage -> Volumes -> Auto-import. Auto-importing is described in more detail in section 6.3.1 Auto Importing Volumes
3. Import a disk that is formatted with UFS, NTFS, MSDOS, or EXT2 in Storage -> Volumes -> Import. This is described in more detail in section 6.3.2 Importing Volumes

Your system hardware choices and design are not even compliant with the recommendations of FreeNas 8, so YMMV. If you are able to get back to your data I highly suggest to consider moving at least to the minimal recommended hardware and ditch UFS for ZFS.
