Hello community,
before I ask my question I would like to say thank you to the community here and iX systems to offer FreeNAS. I have 2 systems and I am a happy user :)
I am using 2 FreeNAS systems.
System 1 (Main):
FreeNAS: 11.2-U5
RAM: 16GB ECC
CPU: Intel Pentium G4500T
Disks: 4x4TB as RAIDZ2
System 2 (Backup):
FreeNAS: 11.2-U5
RAM: 16GB ECC
CPU: Intel Xeon E31260L
Disks: 2x8TB as MIRROR
On system 1 the memory overview tells me that 14GB RAM are wired.
I am using NFS and SMB share services.
I want to use git server (I have to check, if I can do this via plugin or jail) on system 1.
How much resources do I need for a git server on a FreeNAS system? Are 16GB Ram enough?
I plan to upgrade my systems to 16TB disk space. Are 16GB RAM enough or should I expand RAM also?
Best regards
