I recently upgraded to 11.2 and cannot use nano or vi in iocage jail via putty or built in "shell" in web browser. I manage two installs and its the same problem on both boxes. The shell will look like this
U6JlehQ

I can get around it by using nano on freenas console directly with jail files but ran into a road block running this command:
make config-recursive install -C /usr/ports/databases/pecl-redis
which I assume displays a graphic that I can't see to finish the command.
output of make command:
sYO0JMH

I'm pretty sure this is a bug and will report it if it hasn't been reported, but I was wondering if there was a workaround in the mean time.

Thanks

Bug's already been reported, and there are a number of threads on this. It appears that set term=xterm from inside the iocage console resolves it.
