Mismatch between kernel and FreeNAS versions?

When I log into my FreeNAS, I see:

FreeBSD freenas.mynet.local 11.1-STABLE FreeBSD 11.1-STABLE #0 r321665+79f05c3dd3d(HEAD): Wed Jan 23 12:02:34 EST 2019 root@nemesis.tn.ixsystems.com:/freenas-releng/freenas/_BE/objs/freenas-releng/freenas/_BE/os/sys/FreeNAS.amd64 amd64

But, then I see this:

me@freenas:/ % cat /etc/version

FreeNAS-11.2-U7 (299a0ab8e2)

When I'm in the web UI, I see many indications that my system is on the 11.2-STABLE train.

Here is the system status from the web UI (copy/pasted text only):

System Information
FREENAS-MINI-XL
OS Version:
FreeNAS-11.2-U7
(Build Date: Nov 19, 2019 0:4)
Processor:
Intel(R) Atom(TM) CPU C2750 @ 2.40GHz (8 cores)
Memory:
32 GiB
HostName:
freenas.mynet.local
Uptime:

Here is the text from the "Update" screen (copy/pasted here):

Maybe related or maybe requiring a new ticket...I have "applied" these updates several times but the system is locked in this state. 11.1-STABLE from CLI and 11.2-STABLE from web UI no matter how many times I "apply" the updates.

Is this expected?

Per forum rules, please provide more information about your hardware and pool setup. From the very limited information you've currently provided, it appears you have a failed upgrade from 11.1 to 11.2, which is why the 11.2-U8 upgrade isn't applying.

Please check if there is enough space left on your boot device to install the upgrade.

The info you see upon login comes from /etc/motd, that is not necessarily correct. What is the output of uname -a?

My apologies for providing such very limited information.

Here is more information. Hopefully I get the formatting correct and haven't missed any tags.

It is a IXSystems FreeNAS Mini-XL with 8 drives. No after-market additions have been added other than replacing the failed SATADOM with a new SSD.

Provide the exact build number:
Per Forum Rules I'm unable to give the exact build number because my FreeNAS doesn't have a System > Information screen. I've pasted the system information from the Dashboard in my original post.

My pool setup is as follows:

Code:
me@freenas:~ % zpool status

Was this originally an 11.1 installation? You may have to reboot back into that version, and try the 11.2 upgrade again.
