Mirroring A Drive in use

Hi,
I have TrueNAS running with 1 SSD drive (Not worried it backups up every night to a cloud backup service) but I would like to add another drive and mirror them. My questions are this...

1. Can it be done?
2. Will it damage the Data on the existing drive?

This is just my home server nothing major. Something to tinker with.

No
