Minio/S3 guide?

With the deprecation of the S3 service in Cobia, the only way to use your TrueNAS box as S3-compatible storage is using the Minio app, but there seem to be a lot of bells, whistles, and knobs with that app. But somewhat surprisingly, I haven't been able to find a guide to set it up on TrueNAS with appropriate "best practices." Ideally I'd like to use the TrueCharts version, as their apps integrate with Traefik/ingress and the like, but that isn't a requirement.

Is there any such guide available?

There's a bare-bones guide for TrueCharts here:

...but it doesn't seem to work when you use a host path for storage as recommended there; the app is stuck in a "Deploying" state

...or it does, if permissions are set correctly. I'm not sure why this was the case, but setting the host path dataset to be owned by apps:apps with permissions of 775 let the app start and run as expected.
