MiniDNLA: how do you get it to refresh media library/ look for new files?

I have successfully installed the MiniDNLA plugin and setup a mount point in order to serve it files. And its working just fine. But I can't figure out how to get it to "look for" new files that I add in any other way than turning the plugin off and on again using the plugins control panel. Should it not automatically add files when they are added to the directory?

Turning it off and on again is currently the only way to do it.

wow and i thought it was just some issue with my setup. It really does make it useless if you need to restart it every time you want to watch something on tv etc because stuff may have come down. Much better if a cron job or something could be added or configured to get it to refresh or some way to tell it to refresh over upnp from tv.
