So I just setup a mineos jail for my son and I changed the mcserver password via the command prompt but now I can't seem to get logged in to the web gui.
We were trying to lock it down a bit more as he'd like to make it available on the web so he can play minecraft with his friends.

Any help, suggestions, ect is appreciated.

hmm, it should change the password when you change that users password in the jail.

but, unless you need remote management, you dont need to expose the mineos webui so changing the password isn't really necessary. just open ports to the minecraft server ports and the the mineos webui.

True, but per good practices it's not a good idea to have a default username and password on anything

Looking at your post on the main mineos support thread, I assume you can't log into the webui because your install got broken from being updated. Not because you didn't successfully change the password.

Use these manual steps fix it an everything should work as expected.
