Migration and volume import issue 11.1-U6

I've been running 11.1 on a loud 1U unit so I wanted to change over to something a little bigger and quieter. I recently picked up a different server to set up as my freenas and after installing 11.1-U6 and putting in the drives I can't find my old volumes in the system. This seems like a simple thing I'm overlooking.

I hope to be able to explain well enough what is going on.

Build FreeNAS-11.1-U6
Platform Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5430 @ 2.66GHz
Memory 16341MB

I can see the old drives when I open Shell and use: camcontrol devlist
Code:
<SEAGATE ST3146855SS S527> at scbus0 target 0 lun 0 (pass0)
<SEAGATE ST3146356SS XRHA> at scbus0 target 1 lun 0 (pass1)
<ATA ST2000NM0011 SN03> at scbus0 target 2 lun 0 (pass2)
<ATA ST2000NM0011 SN03> at scbus0 target 4 lun 0 (pass3)
<DP BACKPLANE 1.05> at scbus0 target 8 lun 0 (ses0,pass4)
<HL-DT-ST DVD-ROM GDR-T10N 1.02> at scbus1 target 0 lun 0 (cd0,pass5)
<SanDisk Cruzer Glide 1.00> at scbus3 target 0 lun 0 (pass6,da0)

The SanDisk is what the system boots from. The two seagates are what I'm trying to import. But I can't find those in the webserver gui. This new server has a RAID controller but I didn't set up the seagates in that, would that matter? What am I doing wrong?

Kind of a side issue I guess, but when you list text like that, could you please put it in CODE tags so it shows up like this instead:
Code:
 # camcontrol devlist

It just looks better / easier to read.
This new server has a RAID controller
Well, that could be a factor. Would you please review this guide:
https://forums.freenas.org/index.php?threads/updated-forum-rules-8-3-16.45124/
and give us some more detail about what hardware you are using.

Then, did you review the section of the manual on importing a volume:
https://www.ixsystems.com/documentation/freenas/11/storage.html?#import-volume

Not sure what other hardware you want to know about. It's a Dell PE 2950

I did look up everything I could on importing Volumes.
I just tried doing a config upload and now it shows the old Volume name in the Volume section but it says, "0 (Error)" in the Used column and "Error getting available space" in the available column and status is Unknown.

What else should I let you know to try to figure this out?

I guess I should have taken a moment to look that CPU up, but I never guessed that someone would try to use a CPU that old. Launched in 2007, that is a 4 core processor in an LGA771 socket that uses Front Side Bus (FSB) technology.

The kind of RAID controller for starters because it is apparently not compatible. Probably too old. Did you read the resource I pointed you at, even a little?

A PowerEdge 2950 is extremely old and I can't see it as being worth while for any purpose at all. Some hardware is just ready to be recycled, ie, dropped in a smelter and melted down.

Was this supposed to be an upgrade? I hate to imagine what you were using before. I have no doubt that the entire problem is that the disk controller is not working properly / not compatible with FreeNAS, but you don't even appear to know what hardware is in the system.

I think you need to start reading:
