Hi,

I've seen this post. I'd like to try FibreChannel PtP instead of iSCSI (1GBit/s).

My only question is: is it posible to "migrate" the already present LUNs which are presented to the esxi hosts via Iscsi onto Fibrechannel and all of that without data loss or data migration from one lun to another.

Does anybody made this already?
I'm on FreeNAS-11.2-U3.
At the moment I've 2 extends. Both with a block size of 512. The LUNs are zvols.

A resource exists for 11.1-U4 but I don't think it's that different.

Now, the migration from the ESXi side, you'll need to be careful that you don't present the LUN over both iSCSI and FC to the host at the same time. Pretty sure it won't handle the same VMFS UUID being visible on two different storage protocols very well. Suggest generous use of maintenance mode and disconnecting physical interfaces.
I believe FC is only supported in TrueNAS Enterprise.
It's only "supported" in Enterprise, but it's "functional" across the board.
