Madsonic won't play FLAC.

Just installed madsonic plugin. I have a mix of FLAC and mp3. The mp3 play without issue but the FLAC files there is no sound. Sometimes I can see the counter moving other times nothing just pause button ad if it were playing. I had this happen using VMware too but now iv just built on real hardware.

How did you install Madsonic, using the plugin or manually? I experienced this when I built Subsonic from scratch in a jail and forgot to compile ffmpeg with LAME support.

I used the plugin. I understand that it doesnt play flac and that it should transcode to high bit mp3, maybe it didnt install LAME? I had it working a month ago while testing FN through vmware before I built my system.

If you used the plugin, all of the dependencies should have been installed out of the box. If I were you, I would remove the plugin, reboot, re-install the plugin and try again.

Ik give it a ago and see what happens. It happened in VMware and now on hardware. Sometimes it shows playing but no sound.

Im not sure how but I just tried playing a flac file and it works now. Weird, but im super happy again.
