http://www.lsi.com/products/io-controllers/pages/lsi-sas-1064e.aspx

the nvidia chipset IR/IT mode works fine with freenas 9.3

Problem: LSI SAS1064E (B1) i can see HDD in freenas 9.3 but no info on drives
and i can't formart them to make volume, not sure what driver freenas uses

i tried to google it found it should work fine with linux, tried diffrent OS unRAID
it works fine maybe this info will help you driver uses LSI fusion MPTSAS

is there way i can or you can upgrade driver for this chipset

Pretty sure the answer is "because the nvidia chipset IR/IT mode doesn't work fine with FreeNAS 9.3".

What size do your HDDs have?
This Controller is limited to 2TB SATA drives.
To use 2TB+ drives they must be SAS.

ok, so can't use freenas any more and i was going to use 3TB on nvidia sata and 2TB on LSI running SATA
guess i got a pay for unraid they both work together in that system, just freenas much better
