LSI MegaRaid SATA 300-8x Not Recognized

I checked first before purchasing and the LSI MegaRAID Sata 300-8x is supported by FreeNAS. It also shows up during post and if I go into the controller's settings then I am able to see all the drives that are connected to it. However, it does not show up at all in FreeNAS. I even have two other LSI 9211 cards that show up fine even though I haven't flashed their firmware to IT yet.

I have been unable to find any more information on this card and am unable to find IT firmware for this as well. Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions as to what I may do to get this to work?

Per the manual it looks to me that this is NOT capable of HBA/JBOD modes and only is a RAID Controller

were you ever able to get you LSI MegaRaid SATA 300-8x to work with Freenas?
