Log file to see system activity (jail stopped overnight)

Hi,

What log file can I check to see when a jail stopped?
I don't remember turning it off yesterday (maybe I did, but I don't think so) and it was off this morning.


Is there anywhere on the system an end user can easily see that stuff?

The jail itself has a /var/log/messages, you know. There might be something in there.
