Hi Everyone,

I am in a very stressful situation, I have a system with truenas setup with two factor authentication enabled, the video that I followed to do this also mention to change the SHH options which I remember very clearly that did, and couple days ago my phone broke and I've lost all the App Data...
Today, when I tried to connect with Putty to the truenas using root access its denying me of such, what alternatives do I have in the situation?
I've tried using another account that I have to connect to truenas and I was able to, but upon using the command to disable 2FA it says "
Sorry, user home is not allowed to execute '/usr/local/bin/midclt call auth.twofactor.update {"enabled": false}' as rootruenas.local."
Is there anything I can do besides a fresh installation and losing a lot of data?

On the console I believe you should have a way to reset 2fa.

regarding reinstalling, remember the boot-pool and data are separate, so your data are safe. If you use encryption you need to have the key/passphrase or your data will be lost.

Hi @TiagoShadow ,
Could you please share what you did to fix the problem? I also set 2FA on both GUI and SSH and now I am locked out of the system. Any help you can provide will be much appreciated.
Thanks
