Live TV Won't Load

Hiya. New to FreeNAS and am having fun learning. Struggling with Plex though. All the tutorials on Youtube have set me up nicely to setup the plugin, jail, and establish my libraries. I can go to my Roku and successfully play movie files from the FreeNAS server. My trouble is with Live TV. It won't load... just spins and eventually fails ("Playback Error: This live TV session has ended"). Even from the web based management interface it won't play.

I have plex on a Win10 PC as well with Live TV and that works just fine. It's been our primary TV source for years. But for whatever reason it won't work on Live TV. I suspect there is some permission issue? I haven't found a tutorial yet that deals with Live TV for FreeNAS plex yet. Do I need to do something special to get that aspect going?

So in the Plex management, under the network settings, there is a box at the bottom for a list of IP addresses that are allowed access without authorization. Simply adding my jail IP address allows me to watch Live TV now. Not sure why I need to do this... and if it's needed, why it doesn't show up in any FreeNAS Plex tutorials.
