I am attempting to setup load balancing on Freenas but so far it has been unsuccessful. I understand that I cannot use LACP without a managed switch. I have setup the Link Aggregation as Load Balance with both em0 and em1. My plan was to be able to transfer files from the server to two different PCs at the same time, effectively at or around 1Gb/s to each PC. After configuring Freenas I find that only em0 is saturated, with em1 not being used at all. Now I could be wrong, but I though this would effectively work, even without a managed switch? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
